Petrol Price in India:
India’s Honourable Finance Minister announced a cut of rupees 2.50 on the petrol price on Thursday,4th of October. He also urges to all the state Governments to effect a cut in VAT on fuel.
When some of the NDA-ruled states followed the suit and to match the centre’s cut, The consumers from 12 states including Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Assam, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Arunachal Pradesh would get a relief of Rs.5 per litre on a fuel.
The First states to announce the reduction were Gujarat and Maharashtra. Gujarat Government reduces the tax by Rs.2.50 for petrol and diesel, while on the other hand, Maharashtra Government decided to bring petrol below Rs 90 by announcing a cut of Rs 2.50.
